Description
Natural wholefood source of Vitamin C harvested in the Kimberleys in Western Australia
Gubinge is the Nyul Nyul language name for the Kimberley version of the Kakadu Plum. This fruit is wild harvested from the Dampier Peninsule just north of Broome and is a potent, natural wholefood source of Vitamin C. In line with the Nyul Nyul tradition of eating both seed and fruit, Loving Earth dehydrates the entire Gubinge fruit for 38 hours at 43°C. It is then milled into a powder, making it a true whole food.
All profits that Loving Earth receive from the sale of this product go back to the Nyul Nyul community.
Health Benefits
Gubinge is a bush plum and a powerful indigenous Australian superfood that has the highest natural source of Vitamin C on the planet. The species is called Terminalia Ferdinandiana, more popularly known as the Kakadu plum, and it grows in the Kakadu and the Kimberley’s, where it is known as Gubinge. At Loving Earth, they dehydrate the whole fruit so the Vitamin C is more bio-available.
